- Pulao / Basmati rice - 500 gms
- Ghee- 50 gms
- Onions - 115 gms
- Turmeric - a pinch
- Cloves ,cinnamon, bay leaf, cardamom, Star anise ( Garam Masala) - 2 gms
- Salt to taste
- Water or stock 1 lit
Method -
- Pick,wash & soak rice
- Slice onions
- Heat fat, fry sliced onions. Remove
- Fry spices. Add rice & fry
- Add turmeric dissolved in a little water; stir well
- Add hot water or stock in the proportion 1:2 & salt
- Finish off as off Indian fried rice .
- Serve hor garnished with fried onion & chopped coriander lvs
